Drew Shytle was shocked and saddened by the tragic events that occurred in Newtown, Connecticut. His heart went out to the families and classmates of the Sandy Hook school shooting victims. He also felt compassion for the entire community. Drew Shytle wanted to find a way to make life feel a little more normal for the people of Newtown, Connecticut. Drew Shytle also wanted to make sure the Newtown community knew they had support from Lexington, North Carolina. Drew Shytle spent some extra time with his children then he started thinking about what he could do to help.

Drew Shytle is the owner of Legit Cornhole. The company manufactures handmade and custom designed cornhole game boards. Drew Shytle is the owner and also the chief designer for the company. He started thinking about designing a cornhole board that would be appropriate to donate to the Newtown community. Drew Shytle came up with a wonderful design. He manufactured the cornhole board. Then he put the board at the Lexington Community Center. He made the board available to anyone who wanted to send condolences and words of support to the Newtown community. The outpouring of support was enormous. The gesture was so well received that Drew Shytle quickly realized more cornhole boards were going to be needed. He supplied the additional boards. Lexington residents continued to fill them up with endless words of comfort and sometimes just a signature.

The cornhole boards were delivered to the Newtown community. Drew Shytle hopes the cornhole boards are able to offer some comfort to the Newtown residents. He can picture someone picking up a bean bag and starting a game of cornhole with some friends. He hopes in that moment things feel a little more like normal. Drew Shytle knows that realistically things probably won't feel normal for a long time. He just wants the Newtown community to know that someone cares.

Collegiate Cornhole Game Boards: Drew Shytle

Legit Cornhole was started with a simple premise: give the customer what they want. Drew Shytle's first cornhole board was a commission. A friend wanted to give her husband a special birthday gift. She approached Drew Shytle to see if he could create a cornhole board for her. Drew Shytle was pleased to help her. He was also surprised to see how many other people were interested in having cornhole boards of their own. Legit Cornhole was created to offer customers a high quality, custom product. All the cornhole boards are handmade in Lexington, North Carolina.

Drew Shytle is interested in design. He thought it would add personality to his cornhole boards if they could be custom designed either by the customer or him. That is a service that he still offers. Another idea that made sense to Drew Shytle was using collegiate logos on his cornhole boards. Cornhole is especially popular at tailgating events and it made sense that a market might exist for team oriented boards. Fans are always looking for ways to show support for their favorite team. Drew Shytle approached the organization that handles licensing for collegiate sports. He had an impressive presentation and samples of his work. The board was impressed. Soon Drew Shytle was able to offer National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) logos as a custom option on his boards. Fans really came out in huge numbers to support the business when the licensing came through.

Drew Shytle kept thinking about the success of his collegiate line of cornhole game tables. He started brainstorming to think of other items that might be popular at tailgating events and for NCAA fans in general. Drew Shytle designed a unique folding tailgate table and bar stools. Both products can be designed with an NCAA team logo. The NCAA and Legit Cornhole are a winning combination.

Legit Cornhole: Drew Shytle

Legit Cornhole is a small business that produces high quality, handmade cornhole game boards. Cornhole is a game that has seen a recent increase in popularity. The game is especially popular with tailgaters. The game is simple and anyone can play. The object is to toss a corn filled bag into a hole cut into the board. Points are also awarded depending on where the bag lands on the board.

The game's new popularity meant that there were few outlets for purchasing a cornhole game board. Drew Shytle became aware of this deficiency and decided to begin manufacturing the game boards. He started small, making game boards for friends. His friends kept telling their friends and the game boards were suddenly getting a lot of attention.

Drew Shytle was faced with a conundrum: he had too many orders to fill on his own. He was cautious about taking the leap to devoting his efforts full time to a business. He felt good about the product. It was high quality and people wanted them. He had studied business at High Point University. Drew Shytle had another advantage; he was young not yet even thirty years old. Drew Shytle decided he had enough know how, and a really great product, so he started Legit Cornhole.

Legit Cornhole continues to thrive. The demand for custom cornhole game boards is not slowing down. Drew Shytle is constantly looking for ways to improve and expand his business. He now employs eight workers. Drew Shytle still lives and works in Lexington, North Carolina. He sells custom, handmade cornhole game boards all over the country. Drew Shytle recently inked a licensing deal that will allow him to display team logos on his product. Customers can look forward to seeing cornhole game boards emblazoned with their favorite team's logo. Drew Shytle assures his customers that is just the beginning.
